Johannes was introduced to Pekiti-Tirsia Kali by Bernd Giller in 2000.
He was thrilled and thereafter trained also under Guro Dr. Oliver McRae (USA) and Maginoo Mandala Tim Waid (USA), as well as under Maginoo Mandala Uli Weidle and Mandatus Martin Meissner. Tim Waid introduced Johannes to Maginoo Mandala Jared Wihongi (USA) since both had the same profession as police trainers. Since then they’ve been on friendly terms with each other.
Johannes visited the USA several times and received private training from Tim and Jared additionally to seminars. In 2008 Johannes participated in an instructor training camp under Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje. He also taught at the Academy of the Philippines National Police (PNP) and had the chance to train under Grand Tuhons nephew Rommel.
Johannes participated in the Mallorca Kali Mastery Camp under Jared Wihongi in 2010, 2012 and the Philippines Training Camp in 2013.

Anna experienced her first Pekiti-Tirsia Kali seminar in 2007 with Jared Wihongi and was instantly fascinated by the system and its motion patterns. Since then she has studied the Filipino martial art intensively and completed personal training with Johannes for some time. Moreover she participates regularly in seminars with Jared whenever he is visiting from the US.
She is Johannes´ assistant instructor and covers for him in case of his absence.
Anna participated in the Mallorca Kali Mastery Camp under Jared Wihongi in 2010, 2012 and the Philippines Training Camp 2013.
